Our Sunday gatherings at St Luke’s are a time for our church community and visitors to come together and celebrate Jesus and His ongoing work in our lives and in the world.  We meet in the "Equippers" building every Sunday (a 9:00am gathering and then another at 11:00am). Our gatherings last about an hour and a half. You don’t have to wear anything special, just what you’d be comfortable in when visiting friends or grabbing a coffee at a cafe.

Most weeks we have a couple of songs, a chance for us to sing and express our love for God. These are led by those in our community that can sing and play guitar or other instruments. The rest of us who aren’t so skilled at singing or playing an instrument join in and it makes for a great occasion. If you don’t know the songs you can just relax and enjoy what’s going on. About one gathering in four we keep the guitars in their cases and use other mediums to reflect on what God’s doing in our lives or community. These are most often interactive in some way or another. Again you never have to participate more than you’re comfortable with and you are always welcome to just sit back and enjoy.

Each week we look forward to one of our team sharing some thoughts on God and life; the interaction of faith with our daily living. These talks (what we call sermons) are based out of the bible and the truth that we believe the bible contains. You’ll find these sermons are a mix of encouragement, challenge, inspiration and illumination. We hope that our sermons are always talks that start more talks as the ideas and teaching gets explored in the day to day of your life.

Our gatherings don’t begin and end with whatever is happening up the front though. The chitter and chatter before we turn on the mic, and the conversations and connections over coffee and cake afterwards, are all a part of what church is. So try to be there right on 9:00am or right on 11:00am and also stick around afterwards and someone will say hello, we’d love to get to know you. If you’d like prayer for anything there are always people in our team who are available to pray with you and for you.

We’re a pretty family friendly church so if you’ve got babies or children you’ll be pleased to know we’ve set things up to make a St Luke’s gathering meaningful for your whole family. We’ve got space for mum’s who are feeding babies and if you find they get a bit restless there is plenty of places to take them for a wander. We’ve also got a great kids program with a great team of volunteers who love making church a fantastic experience for kids.

We look forward to seeing you at one of our gatherings!!
